Farm to Table in Copenhagen

I recently followed organic produce grown at Grantoftegaard farm in Ballerup to the table at Restaurant Radio at Forum in Copenhagen, on a shoot for Copenhagen Food magazine.

Radio chefs Jesper (ex deputy chef at Noma) and Rasmus (who worked with Bo Bech at Paustian) produce delicious and nutritious food using seasonal vegetables, fruit and herbs from Grantoftegaard and meat from local producers that they get to know personally. Their creations looks beautiful on the plate, and are served in unpretentious stylish surroundings. This is Nordic cuisine at its best, and in more than one sense it doesn’t cost the Earth!

I was so impressed, I went back to Radio for a meal a week or so after the shoot with some friends who were visiting us from Australia. They are foodies and wanted to know what ‘new nordic cuisine’ was all about…we were treated to a really friendly welcome and top notch service, and all left raving about the food. Highly recommended!
