There’s a lot more to Styria than sausages and sauerkraut…

Graz is the capital of Styria, the culinary heartland of Austria. It’s traditionally famous for its sausages and sauerkraut, but as I found out when I was on assignment there for Food and Travel magazine, there is now more to it than that. A lot more. Funky hotels, inventive food cooked up by a talented crop of young chefs, castles that look like something straight out of a fairy tale, and a stunning wine region. Read Emma Baker’s article in the June issue of Food and Travel, out now. Photography by Sarah Coghill.
